iA Writer Pro Help
Move a document
You can move an iA Writer Pro for Mac document to a different storage location, including to iCloud. Documents stored in iCloud are automatically synced with all of your connected iCloud devices.
To use iCloud, first configure the iCloud Documents & Data service:
- In the Apple Menu, select System Preferences then click iCloud.
- Sign in with the Apple ID you use for iCloud.
- Confirm Documents & Data is On.

In Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9) and Mountain Lion (10.8):
- Move using the File menu:

- In iA Writer Pro, choose File ➤ Move….
- Select a location to move the document to.
- Move using iA Writer Pro’s Open and Save dialogs:
- You can also move a document by dragging it out of, or into, an Open or Save dialog.
Additionally, in Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8):
- Move using a document’s Title bar:

- In iA Writer Pro, place the pointer to the right of the document’s name in the Title bar, and click the arrow.
- Choose Move To… in the menu.
- Select a location to move the document to.
In Mac OS X Lion (10.7):
Mac OS X Lion offers only basic support for iCloud. To move a document to iCloud:
- In iA Writer Pro, choose File ➤ Save….
- Save the document to your computer’s hard disk (for example, in the Documents folder).
- Once your document is saved locally, choose File ➤ iCloud… ➤ Move to iCloud.
To move a document otherwise please use the Finder.
